I believe the English language is limited in terms of adjectives to describe all of the excitement and thrills our 2007 Callaway SC560 has brought to my wife and me. 

My first view of the triple black convertible was at the 2007 Bloomington Gold sales exhibit for Bill Stasek Chevrolet.  I had a 2007 Victory Red Corvette convertible at the time, but the Black Beauty got her hooks into me. In August 2007, we were able to put a deal together and the Callaway made its way to our garage and into our hearts. The Supercharged power and ease of going fast is incredible!

The Callaway’s maiden voyage was Mid America Funfest in September 2007 which included enjoying Mike Vendetto and Chris Chessnoe and their review of Callaway products, specifically the C-16.  We were able to show our Callaway SC 560 but the new C-16 inspired us to order the Callaway/Dymag wheels and the C-16 hood.

The wheels are very unique because we chose to continue with the stock size and run flat tires. The hood and wheels were installed in March 2008 and drew large crowds at the C5-C6 Bash in Bowling Green, in April 2008. While our Callaway gets very enthusiastic receptions at the local car shows, the Callaway/Dymag wheels have quickly become the talk of this circuit in the Chicagoland area.

Along the way we have also added A-pillar boost and fuel pressure gauges which really set the tone of SPEED for a car that lives up to the word in a huge way.  In June 2008, we had the opportunity to visit Callaway Cars in Old Lyme.  We were honored to have Mike Vendetto give us a tour of the facility. The entire Callaway family was warm and welcoming. A visit to Callaway Cars couldn’t be made without an addition to our car. 

New exhaust slats were installed and they look fantastic.  I cannot tell you the amount of times we have been chased by people or cars asking about our Callaway.  Its incredible styling and power draw attention wherever we go.  Our Callaway has been in six car shows and placed in four of them.  I believe the next addition to our “Black Beauty” will be the Callaway Big Brake Package.  My wife had the idea for our personalized license plate, “BLINK”, and this Callaway SC Corvette is GONE!
