Australian Callaway C13 (rare)

Post by broadz »

Hi guys, this is my 2000 HSV GTS (Callaway C13)
It is based on a Holden Commodore Sedan and at the time of release was the fastest four-door production car in the world. It features the Callaway tuned 410hp C4b engine and Tremec T56 6 speed manual. Good for 0-60mph in 5.1, standing quarter in 13 seconds and had a top speed of over 180mph.
Still fast in todays standards, ten years ago (in Australia) that was completely unheard of.
I've owned it for nearly 5 years, in that time i have kept it somewhat standard. Only in the last few weeks ive changed wheels, exhaust and springs

I know, I missed my chance with the Pontiac GTO.
They were made by Holden!

An absolutely amazing machine, unfortunately not very popular due to the high AUD $150,000+ price tag

The pontiac GTO was another great car to drive, basically very similar to mine however is only 2 door. There WAS a Callaway C13 2 door called the HSV GTS 300 Coupe

unfortunately for the U.S.A guys, you only recieved the equivilant to out mid-spec base model V8. The fully loaded Pontiac G8 was essentially our SSV Commodore which is one step up from our base model SS. We have a lot of models inbetween including
Holden 6.0 litre 270kw 361hp trim:
Calais (luxury short wheelbase sedan only available in auto)
Statesman/Caprice (ultra luxury long wheelbase available in USA as police spec only)
Sportswagon (holden's equivilent to the magnum/300C wagon)
Ute (lightweight pickup truck)
Holden Special Vehicles 6.2 litre 325kw 442hp trim:
Clubsport (based on the G8, however has a better bodykit and front/rear brembo brakes)
Senator (auto only, luxury version of the above)
GTS (the performance model which combines the performance of the clubsport with the luxury of the senator)
Grange (performance model of the caprice)
Maloo (performance model of the ute)

For quite some time the Maloo has been the fastest production pickup on the planet
