Sc606 injectors

Post by Robin »

I have a 2011 SC 606.
I got codes telling me #3 was missing.
I replaced the plug. Cheapest first......... no luck
I replaced the power pack. It worked for maybe a 20 mile trip and stuttering came back.
I guess now it’s injector time. I am just not sure if the car came with stock injectors or larger?
Happy to hear other suggestions?
TIA,
Robin

Call Callaway Cars (860) 434-9002
I don’t think they used stock injectors!
Detonation, burned valves and pistons really suck!

Different injectors, as I recall. I am sorry however, I do not recall the part number.

As Big John mentioned, a call to Wayne at Callaway Cars Inc. will help. But please, post the part number once you get it, and the specs (flow/lb)

Thanks.

Make sure the plug wire stayed seated on both ends. I had one come loose a couple of times. :beer

You probably will bash me for trying to sell you snake oil but a couple of years ago coming home from Dallas in my 2006 8.1 liter Suburban, I got a code for 2 missing injectors. I looked into getting some new injector replacements, but then I thought about trying some fuel injector cleaner first. I bought a can of Seafoam and put it in the tank. The code went away and hasn’t come back. Every couple months I put a can in and there hasn’t been any more check engine lights or codes. For $7 at Walmart it couldn’t hurt to try it first before spending money on a new injector. Kevin

I was wrong about the code. I am getting a PO300. It’s a random multiple cylinder misfire.
I contacted Callaway they suggested new plug wires. I put them on this weekend. The car definitely idles better but as soon as I am out of the driveway the check engine light comes back on.
I have ordered new plugs and I pulled the injectors to have them cleaned.
Thanks for the help.

Is your car an auto or manual?

Here is a couple of things I looked at online.

https://www.700r4transmissionhq.com/p03 ... he%20P0300.

This one from CF.com said the torque tube was causing it...

I wanted to report back the results of my delema.
I replaced the o2’s
I replaced the plug wires.
I did not replace the plugs as the car only has 18k.
I drained the gas. Incase of bad fuel.

I still got the p0300 code.

I gave up throwing money at the car and took it to the Chevy dealer. I made a 11am wait apt. I even got their early.
They figured it out at about 4 pm. They did a diagnostic on it.
The bill was 329.00
They used my new plugs as they didn’t have any.
End of story. :rmad

Thanks everyone for your offers of help.

That’s crazy! My car had 100k mile plugs with almost no electrode left and threw no codes.

Yeah, but the last person who cared for your car, really cared for your car. It was pampered, sometimes
